Three important features of a digital portfolio:
1.A portfolio is a goal-driven, organised collection of artefacts
and reflections that demonstrate a growth or expansion of knowledge and skills over time.
2.A portfolio is a purposeful collection of student work that tells the story of a student's personal self and a student's
achievement.
3.Portfolios allow teachers and parents to share a real display of a student's performance without interpretation of test scores.
One adventage of a digital protfolio: Creativity:
New non-linear formats and the integration of various media types allow
students many ways to creatively express their professional knowledge and skills.
One disadvantage of a digital portfolie:
The creation of digital portfolios requires advanced knowledge and skills
and sometimes expensive, high-tech equipment.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading information about what a Digital Portfolio (DP) is you should have a good idea on how it helps you show others your life and achievements.
I hope you will be able to get the knowledge and develop the skills you mention in your posting to create a nice DP during this year in my course.
About the DPs visited, probably you could have written more about the design and contents. However, visiting them should have provided you a good idea about organization and design. They are key components of a friendly website.
Now, you have to think about your own DP and how to present it so it looks professional and easy to use.
